Case study

Ellevate

A website we designed and built for Ellevate, a wealthtech consulting and managed services firm, that its team can grow and edit on its own.

Overview

Ellevate helps wealth management firms run their technology and operations, from choosing platforms to running billing, reporting and data day to day.

Their previous site was a short static site their team couldn't change. We designed a new one around their story, "the hidden engine behind great advisory firms", and built it on WordPress so Ellevate can add services, articles, case studies, people and jobs themselves.

Key aspects

A look of its own

Deep navy, a bright cyan and a pink for every call to action, with photos cut into diagonal bands that echo the stripes of Ellevate's logo. Each page opens the same way, so the site feels like one piece.

Five services, one page

The Services page sets out Ellevate's five core areas along one line. Picking an area shows what it covers without leaving the page.

The platforms they know

A wall of the wealthtech platforms Ellevate works with shows visitors at a glance that the team speaks their systems.

Insights

Articles, client case studies and company news live in one Insights section, with a featured article, topics and a keyword search.

The team and careers

Every team member has a card with their title and LinkedIn that opens to a bio. The Careers page sets out life at Ellevate, its benefits and its open roles.

Back end approach

The site is a custom WordPress theme with 34 page blocks built for Ellevate, so their team builds and edits pages from the same pieces the design uses. Team members, open roles and articles each have their own place in WordPress, and the consultation and contact forms run on Gravity Forms.

Before launch we hardened the site's security, sized every image for the screen it shows on and tuned the pages for speed.

Takeaways

Ellevate's work happens behind the scenes, so the site has to show it. A clear story, the platforms they know and the people who do the work give advisory firms a reason to book a consultation.
